Just Another Pandora Radio Indie Artist Reject

What is the secret code to open this Pandora's Box?
After 4 rejections of our relatively popular songs on several other streaming sites I had high hopes. But they were swiftly dashed. Yes I am baffled why Pandora keeps rejecting our music.
But then who isn't if all the comments I read about the mass rejections of other Indie artist who have posted their stories is true.  And perhaps the worst part is they give you no inkling of why they didn't accept your music. Is it the production? Are they not taking on certain genres.
Do they just plain hate you and think you suck?
Please Pandora Radio. At least put us out of our misery and tell us what the problem is.
I never even received a rejection email after the first submission. I had to go to the site to see I was a reject.
It seems a bit unfair to leave an artist twisting in the wind
Is there some magic formula the gate keepers are looking for?

I imagine the only thing at this point to have half a chance is to beg people to request our music on the site to break in and we all know how well that goes over with everyone too.
Like they don't have better things to do with their time. Not to mention, it's never fun begging.
I have also had other bands who produce great music tell me they were rejected so quickly they wondered if anyone actually ever took time to listen. But I guess better to get smacked down right away than those who say they waited months thinking no news was good news.
Would love to hear your stories in the comment section below.
Misery loves company you know ;)

Poltergeist Action and a Blazing EMF Session: Got Ghosts?

We decided to do our own video to see what the cats were up to when we were gone.

They swear it was not them ;)
We also had our demon possessed  Annabelle doll misbehaving and moving things around on top of the piano where she normally resides. And she was the only thing that could set off the Electro Magnetic Field  Meter in that room though it  about caught fire in the kitchen it was so hot.

Gibson Dirty Fingers PickUp Lead on 80's Flying Vee I'm A Spider

Spiders are natures perfect sociopaths. And.....
Because  some have a mentality no different than that of a spider........
Many thanks to Laura Dermid Carroll for the use of her incredible New Orleans spider shot

I'll bite off your head
I'll suck you dry
I'll web you up
And leave you to die
Cause I'm a spider
And that's what spiders do.

I'll snatch you mid flight
I'll bite off your head
I'll spit out your feathers
And leave you for dead
Cause I'm a kitty
And that's what kitties do

I'll lie to your face
I'll bleed you dry
I'll blow you off
And leave you to die
Cause I'm a human
And that's what human's do

Girls Can't Play Rock Guitar

I have been playing rock guitar for over 35 years now, but still get the helpless little female attitude whether I am setting up for a show  either getting heckled by the early drunks glued to a bar stool watching and making snide remarks asking if I know what I'm doing or when I go into music stores. Particularly Guitar Center.
Not to mention the occasional drunken male who gets in my face during a show trying to distract me.
I have read Joan Jett was pretty much encouraged to take up a more "girly" instrument while still in school and The Heart sisters took a lot of crap too.
Really nothing has much changed in all these years though some incredibly good female guitarist have been around for ages with more coming along. I have see 12 year old girls doing hard core male rocker songs on guitar and sound better than they do. It's not brain surgery.
I am sure I am not the only one out there currently facing this same kind of discriminatory treatment and would love to hear stories from others who have.
I will have to add a few here when I drop back in.
You can find my song "Girls Can't Play Rock Guitar" by Slippery When Wet on all the major streaming sites. And drop me a comment if you have dealt with this attitude. I'd love to hear your story

Young Studs In Black Leather: That's What I Want

About the only thing other than my old friends I miss about living in Chicago is all the black leather clad guys.
In fact I miss that so much I couldn't resist writing a song about it just to reminisce.
I am now in relentlessly hot, sunny AZ.  Unless it's a local Harley chapter I am lucky enough to catch roaring past, I don't see very much else in the way of men in  black leather anything and cowboy boots just don't do it for me.

Anyway, I also did an animated photo blog and was surprised at the big turnout I received after putting out the word I was looking for men of all ages posing in black leather garb to exploit  err I mean put into it.
I continued getting more photos long after I had already finished and released the video. Perhaps one day I shall do another including some new fresh leather clad stud muffins for all our viewing pleasure.
So if you are looking for some male eye candy, click above and enjoy. I'm always willing to share ; )

Yes 18 to 80. Bald, skinny, fat or crazy, I love them all.

You may also listen to Young Studs on Spotify, Groove, Google Music, Apple Music and all other major sites

When you find out The Black Count Of Anjou is your relative

The Black Count Of Anjou by Slippery When Wet

So it's always fun to find out what your roots are. But sometimes you may be in for a huge surprise. Like when you go back to the 10th century and find out you are related to one of the bonifide "Mad Monarchs"
But I must say, having a sister who anonymously cyberstalk me, it explains a lot.

The Black Count, Fulk Nerra was one bad ass dude. Cross him and you'd better leave town because he'd destroy everything you have if you got on his bad side.
After all he did burn his bride at the stake in her wedding dress no less after catching her doing the wild thang with one of the sheep herders.

He later did go off on self flagellation tangents to Jeruselum to atone for his diabolical deeds not to mention he was one hell of an architect figuring out how to build stone castles instead of rotting wooden ones. So I guess he wasn't all bad.

He was a little demanding coming to the studio haunting me until I wrote, recorded and released a song about him
My lead guitarist was making a few innocent jokes about him and was suddenly given an ugly shock while holding his guitar. But we have been recording in the same studio for 12 years and that was a first. So I guess The Count's temperament hasn't even softened in death.
Anyway I hope you enjoy my tune about his misdeeds.
Since we are cousins or whatever I feel entitled to take artistic liberties. And if he wasn't pleased I'd already have been in for a shock or two myself I am sure.
